Advanced Counseling For Change PLLC of Devils Lake, ND strives to provide professional counseling intended to help people of all walks of life through the difficulties they may encounter on their journey. Advanced Counseling for Change provides solution focused mental health services to the Lake Region community through contracted services, education and inoffice therapy.

Counselor Lisa Hawley, BSW, MSW, LICSW, QCSW, earned her Bachelor’s degree in social work from Minnesota State University, Moorhead and Master’s degree in The Advanced Generalist Social Work program at the University of North Dakota. Lisa is licensed by the North Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She holds the Qualified Clinical Social Work certification from the National Association of Social Workers and is a Love and Logic trainer. Lisa will be coordinating and co-facilitating the Nurturing Parenting Program in the fall of 2012.

Lisa is a member of the National Health Services Corp., National Association of Social Workers, Ramsey County Suicide Prevention Committee, leader of the Minnewaukan School Suicide Prevention Team, and is the Regional Representative for the North Dakota Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.

Lisa has 18 years of experience working with individuals of all ages, and has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and individuals with disabilities. Lisa strongly believes in the solution focused approach to mental health therapy. She strives to meet the patients where they are and help to guide them to make improvements in relationships, thinking patterns, moods, and behaviors. Lisa believes that patients are individuals who are in need of a treatment plan designed to help them with their specific needs.
